The date was December 5, 1968 and I happened to be in Boston to interview Bruins center Derek Sanderson for a book -- "I've Got To Be Me" -- we eventually did.

The Bruins were hosting Montreal that night and I happened to be sitting in a down-low arena seat directly opposite the Canadiens goal for two periods.
