Good news for Utica! I had heard that the Devils' policy was to have all their farm clubs use the Devils name, but the Comets will live on with new uniforms and colors. This will be the second time for the Devils' AHL affiliate to be located in Utica, the first having been in operation from 1987 to 1993. I have fond memories of that team, Utica's various other clubs and the Clinton Comets, whose only retired number is in honor of my wife's uncle, Tom Lewis.
